Hey guys just checking in to say that I'm busy for a few days but at the start of April I will continue developing this shit. This host is slow as shit, right? If that continues to be a nuisance then switching to a faster host is near the top of the priority list.

Hello. I love working on user interfaces. This AI shit helps me to finally realize my ideas for it. What do you think of the UI of this website? I'm personally very happy with nested replies that only have two levels (to prevent users from getting lost in a tree), the colour contrast between posts and comments, and providing user-created communities on a chan-style website. I love the flexibility as well. When choosing software created by others, you have to make sacrifices in the feature set, there's no software that has the exact feature set you want. With AI, you can get to your desired feature set step by step.

Any feedback welcome.

There are no rules anywhere. How pure is your free speech? I suppose with no rules the admin can't remove anything. Sweet.

Don't worry I basically just remove spam and illegal content. With possible exceptions if an image is really visually disturbing for example. Speech is free.

I have added a two-level nested comment system but I have to test it.

Word of Mouth is the first ever instance of Lumoforum. It is named that because it was vibecoded in 30 minutes with Lumo (Proton's AI assistant). I wanted to setup existing software but they were either ugly, had a complicated installation process, or both. So I turned to AI and to my surprise it worked and looks good as well.

The index.php is 500 lines of code. In terms of features it's sort of a cross between Kareha and Reddit. Kareha is an anonymous textboard, that's where the simple form-based posting comes from that doesn't require account creation. But unlike Kareha it has user-created communities. Obviously this is a work in progress but the fun part is that I can extend it to my liking.

Happy posting.

Anonymous: Planned features:
- Single level comment indentation.
- Democratic spam filtering mechanism.
Larry: # Update
- The communities are now shown as simple links instead of buttons and they have a tilde prefix.
- Image links are now directly embedded.
- Minor cosmetic change: there is now only one separator line between a post and the comment section (was two).
Larry: More planned features:
- post editing
- some separation between canonical and non-canonical communities. So they can still be user-created but the junk ones don't litter the canonical list.
Larry: More planned:
- RSS feeds
- logo + favicon.ico
- Bigger subject lines
- Some type of account system mayhap (but optional)
