Just a couple Meshcore links because this anon forum is similar in a sizewaze kind of way.

Meshcore is a cousin of Meshtastic, they are both anon off-grid encrypted text communication networks that will be really useful if/when the internet and electrical grid go away.

Looks cool. I really love the Lilygo, throwback to the Bold 9900 of course. How are they not getting sued for that lol.

Sometimes when I see these mesh programs I wonder: why not just use Briar? But this looks like it actually provides more with dedicated devices and all.

The lilygo does look like a blackberry :)

Off grid Briar uses only bluetooth that can travel a few hundred yards each relay, it needs many available blue tooth devices to get good distance.

Meshcore is different from Briar in that no internet needed for stored messages and each meshcore radio repeater has a range measured in miles. The meshcore messages can be relayed up to 64 times to find a recipient.

Here is a good starter video explaining the basics

There is a world map with repeater locations, updated often. Give it a minute or two to load, the network is growing fast and you can watch it grow daily :)
